Marianne Nari Fisher is an Associate Project Officer in the department of nuclear energy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); currently, and the elected Treasurer and Liaison Officer of the United Nations - Nuclear Young Generation (UN-NYG) group based in Vienna.
Most recently, she was a Fellow at the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Washington, D.C. within the Office of Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation and a Research Associate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where her work primarily explored IAEA safeguards engagement, nuclear policy, and dual-use affairs.
Prior to this, Marianne served in various capacities at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Qatar Foundation International, Newsweek, the Middle East Scientific Institute for Security, among other organizations.
Marianne is also a former Kuwait Programme Scholar from Sciences Po in Paris, France where she completed her Master of Arts in international energy. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington.
