Evening welcome reception:
We start proceedings on Sunday evening where all registered delegates are invited to attend our
welcome reception at the heart of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You should have had the opportunity to sign up as part of your initial registration. If you didn’t do
this, please click here to let us know if you would like to attend.

Timings:
18:00 – 21:00 BST (boats from 17:30)
The dress code for the event is semi-formal. e.g. suit (ties are optional) and cocktail dresses.
Getting to the reception:
We’re providing round-trip water taxi transportation between Westminster Pier and Greenwich
Peer to all attendees joining the reception.
The schedule for departure is below:
Westminster to Greenwich
▪ Vessel 1
– Embark: Westminster Pier 17:45, to depart at 18:00
– Disembark: Greenwich Pier at 18:30
▪ Vessel 2
– Embark: Westminster Pier 18:00, to depart at 18:15
– Disembark: Greenwich Pier at 18:45
Greenwich to Westminster
▪ Vessel 1
– Embark: Greenwich Pier 21:00, to depart at 21:15
– Disembark: Westminster Pier at 21:45
▪ Vessel 2
– Embark: Greenwich Pier 21:15, to depart at 21:30
– Disembark: Westminster Pier at 22:00
If you need assistance during your journey, Thames Clipper customer service will be available. For
those not using the water taxi. Please see the below map for directions to the venue once you
arrive at the Old Royal Naval College.

When you arrive
When you arrive at the IET Savoy, please make your way to the first floor. At registration, you’ll receive a name badge and agenda for the day. There is a cloakroom available at the venue to store your items during the event.
The dress code is business casual. – high temperatures are expected in the UK for the duration of the event, dress to be comfortable in warm weather
Video and photography: Please note we have official videographers and photographers documenting the event. If you would prefer not to be included, please email support@globalnuclearinnovation.com or notify an organiser onsite.

How to find us
We’re delighted to be hosting the Global Forum in London, where there are many options for travel. See below for guidance around the main travel options for the conference.
By Air:
London is served by five main airports:
Trains and buses regularly connect each airport with Central London.
London Underground:Covent Garden | Piccadilly Line (7 min walk)
Leave Covent Garden underground station and head south towards Covent Garden Piazza. Go through the Piazza and head down to The Strand via Southampton Street. On reaching The Strand turn left and head eastwards, turning right into Savoy Street.
Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at the bottom, directly into Savoy Place. We are the first venue on your right on the corner of the street
Embankment | Northern, Bakerloo, Circle and District lines (5 min walk)
Leave Embankment underground station via Embankment exit to the right. Turn immediately left onto Victoria Embankment and follow the road along to the first left turn, before Waterloo Bridge, where you will find IET London: Savoy Place on the corner.
London Charing Cross | Northern and Bakerloo lines (7 min walk)
Leave Charing Cross station via the main exit into The Strand, turning right outside the station and heading in an easterly direction until you reach Savoy Street on the right. If you reach Somerset House, you have gone too far. Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at the bottom, directly into Savoy Place. We are the first venue on your right on the corner of the street.
Temple | Circle and District lines (4 min walk)
Leave Temple underground station, turning right and right again onto Victoria Embankment. Head westwards, passing underneath Waterloo Bridge and crossing the road, where you will find IET London: Savoy Place immediately on your right as the first building in Savoy Place.
Westminster station | Jubilee, Circle and District lines (13 min walk)
Walk along the Embankment, past Embankment Station and follow directions from there (above).
Waterloo Station | Jubilee and Northern lines (15 min walk)
Walking across Waterloo Bridge and down the left-hand side steps down to street level. Cross the street and follow the directions above from Temple Station.
Travelling by Train:
Liverpool Street station
Seven stops on the Circle Line to Embankment station, walk from the station to the venue through the Embankment Gardens.
Euston station
Five stops on the Northern Line to Embankment station, walk from the station to the venue through the Embankment Gardens.
King’s Cross station
Three stops on the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden and follow the instructions above from Covent Garden to IET London: Savoy Place.
Alternatively, take the Piccadilly line for four stops, changing at Leicester Square to the Northern line for two stops to Embankment station, walk two minutes from the station to the venue through the Embankment Gardens.
Victoria station
Three stops on the Circle and District Lines to Embankment station.
Waterloo station
One stop on Northern or Bakerloo Line to Embankment station or walk across Waterloo Bridge to IET London: Savoy Place. For more information, visit the National Rail Website.
Walking from The Strand:
From The Savoy Hotel, head in an easterly direction until you reach Savoy Street on the right. Head down to the bottom of Savoy Street and turn right at bottom, directly into Savoy Place. IET London: Savoy Place is the first venue on your right on the corner of the street.
By Riverboat:
With a venue that sits right on the Thames, what better way to arrive than by water? Combat peak travel and treat yourselves or your delegates to a more enjoyable journey to IET London: Savoy Place by boat. River bus services run every 20 minutes during peak hours. You can use your Oyster card and every customer is guaranteed a seat. Alight at Embankment Pier for a very short walk up to the venue.
Buses:
The main bus service for the Victoria Embankment is the 388, although there are many other available bus routes on The Strand and over Waterloo Bridge which will bring you within short walking distance of the venue.
Travelling by car:
Although we encourage you to take public transport where possible, those driving should type in the postcode ‘WC2R 0BL’ into a route finder or satnav, which will direct you straight to IET London: Savoy Place. Be aware, there is limited parking outside the IET London: Savoy Place, behind the Embankment Gardens on metered bays. You can find alternative parking at the NCP car park just two minutes’ drive from the venue in Drury Lane, Covent Garden. Please note that IET London: Savoy Place is located within the congestion charge zone.
